Aleesoft Free iPad Video Converter has been developed to allow converting videos of various file formats to the formats that are compatible with the popular iPad device.
It can also convert to other formats besides the ones that are compatible with iPads, such as to iPod, iPhone and Apple TV compatible files, but be aware that it will add a watermark to the output video when converting to these formats. Anyway, converting to iPad-compatible formats can be done completely for free and comes without any limitations, which is a big plus in my book.
Furthermore, I also appreciate its simple and neat interface, even if it can’t be resized or customized. The fact that it allows the users to configure various parameters of the output file such as the codec, bit rate or frame rate is another thing that I like about this converter. The additional features such as the support for adding subtitles and specific audio tracks to the output file, or the resizing options, are also welcomed and worth being mentioned here.
Its conversion speed is on a par with other converters. It’s neither lightning fast nor objectionable. It can also convert HD videos and it can even split the output files to multiple parts of custom sizes. It can rip the video files from Blu-ray movies and convert them to iPad compatible files or to other types of files. I guess that if it had been able to rip DVDs too, it would have simply been the perfect converter. Even so, as you can see, it’s pretty close to perfection.
